I knew that finding a place to live that I really liked was a huge part of Zoe and I being happy in this life change. Being here last year gave me a good idea of where I wanted to live and I was not going to waver.I also wanted a place with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths win h the hopes I would le have the occasional visitor. Also on my wish list was a terrace or patio. Well as we are all familar with, you don’t get everything you ask for.
When I found what I thought was my perfect apartment I had to forgo the outdoor space, feeling the 2nd bedroom and bath would be more important and also give me some additional storage space.
This is my building and my bedroom window looks on the street and it makes for a bright room and never a boring view.
I like that there is a walkway and I don’t exit right on the street. I’m on the First floor which is the 2nd floor in the U.S, 0 is the Italian1st floor, but I only have 5 steps.
My little shopping area is less than 2 blocks away, and I have everything there that I need.
About a block away in the other direction are all the trash bins. It’s nice not having them by the building, and when I take Zoe out in the morning we take out the trash.
Another great convenience just past the trash bins is the bus stops. One on each side of the street and I have become a bus maven. That is something I never thought I would be saying. Easy, cheap and let’s Zoe get a break from all our walking.
I mentioned I had to compromise on my outdoor space, well to my surprise there is a park a block down the street so we have a very large “terrace”. In the long run much better.
It has lots of benches and tables where we have had a few little picnics.
Lots of space for Zoe to run around. It took her a while to realize that is what she could do since when we go out she is always on her leash.
I feel very lucky to have found the place I dreamt about. I can’t wait to show you the inside of our place.
So fun! Thanks for making us a part of your new life
