La Menagere is a very special place that I thought deserved its own blog. From the moment you walk in you are captivated. It’s a great meeting place do to it’s central location. It’s loved by students because of the wifi and you can sit for long periods of time on these wonderful long benches directly across from he bar.
The decor is very eclectic with a perfect match of vintage, new and contemporary.
The place has several rooms which give it an intimate feel but can handal large groups for dining.
It has a wonderful simplicity to it with its natural cement walls and a single orchid plant on the masive tables.
This room is part of the dining room and it is where they have live entertainment at night. The high ceilings and arches with the columns make for a dramatic showcase.
This is a sweet French couple who sat next to me at lunch. They were both busy on their phones and I told them how meal times were for communicating with the person your with and it made me sad that hey weren’t. I was very touched, they put their phones away and thanked me. It was either that or telling me to mind my own business .
The presentation of my lunch was almost as good as it tasted
A beautiful array of fresh seasonal vegetables that the chief hand picks.
They are a caffe, restaurant, entertainment venue and a beautiful full service flower shop.
And if all of that wasn’t enough they are a gift/home accessory, tabletop store.
As you enter or exit there is a small out door area with the most perfectly distressed chairs and tables.
When Zoe and I were were here in Firenze last fall we came and sat at the bar and had a persecco and sitting there with Zoe just confirmed why I love Firenze. This could never happen in the states.
Wow! You’re doing some nice photography here.
Why don’t you plan to write a tourist guide of Florence with all these wonderful pictures of exceptional places?
Ciao Gabriella
Love Italian retail therapy….keep shopping, photographing and blogging.
Can’t wait to see what you find next.
I would go there everyday ……feeds your soul .Thanks Sally , if we can’t be there , at least we can enjoy them through you .Beautiful photos and the food looks perfect
It certainly is a great place for you and Zoe to hang out. Do you bring treats for her or be nasty and eat in front of her? Loved the pictures and your friend is right, you should do a book on the hiding places in Florence worth taking a peek.. that would sell. Bill always got books that told about off the beaten path stuff.
You and Zoe are looking great.
It sounds like u are never coming back to CA… after your last two blogs….I don’t think I would blame you.
Enjoy ….always look up and go forward….there is no reverse in life…
Enjoy..Richard (formally Dick),
What a beautiful place. I can see why you like to go there.
Good to hear from you.
