I had the pleasure of being invited to 2 events at Florence Dance Center. They have a wonderful way of combining dance with art. They have an artist work related to some form of dance beautifully displayed followed by a presentation from their dance students.

The first time I went they were showcasing the paintings of Kevin Berlin. He is a very accomplished painter and his work is resides in the collections of Luciano Pavarotti, David Letterman, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Buzz Aldrin to name a few.

He was honored by President Ronald Reagan to the White House as an art scholar in 1983. He has had solo exhibitions in Shanghai, London, The Hague and New York where he lives.

The program this evening was ballet. His work has an air of humor which I really enjoy

These dance students put on a beautiful program and it brought the art to life.

The second time I went was a little more personal since the artist on display is my friend. His art was to showcase a contemporary program.

The gentleman on the right is Fulvio Rottichieri, the artist.

Fulvio says” I like the image seen, processed, manipulated, taken, stolen, created, designed. Just look and think and dream and re-imagine…and the circle starts again. ”

Fulvio painting have been exhibited in many cities throughout Italy and frequently in Milano where he resides with his wife Rita and daughter Emma. He is also a photographer and won many awards for his work.

I am very happy to know these people and be included on these fun Firenze evenings.
